The Ethical Faith Community


CELEBRATING:

the freedom to flourish,*
which includes

- the freedom to explore our spiritualities,

- the freedom to celebrate our spiritualities
on our own and in our chosen faith communities,

- freedom to explore, join and leave religions,

- freedom to exchange in safety re any religion,

- freedom to believe there are no gods
and/or cosmic forces,

- safety, peace, freedom, community,

- freedom of thought and speech,

- freedom to lead lives right for us
as long as these don't harm others.*




AGAINST:

whatever forces are against that freedom,

forces that include coercion, terror and silence.

Two current forces against freedom are

- Orthodox Islam, and

- Political Correctness, which includes
"All opinions, cultures, religions are equal."

There are many religions besides Orthodox Islam
which are against the freedoms listed above.
For instance:

- religions against birth control;

- religions against divorce
even if one partner is physically violent;

- religions against male-female equality;

- religions against homosexuality;

- religions which proclaim all religions are equal
instead of looking at and exploring different religions.




GOALS:

- to give voice to ethical faith,  

- to explore ethical faith,

- to connect people committed to ethical faith,

- to celebrate the many forms of ethical faith.

          to feel
          to be
          to think freely ...
